Now Hiring!
Hello! We are Recovery Bike Shop, a 20 year old used bicycle shop that puts 750 new riders on the streets of Northeast Minneapolis every year! We believe bicycles increase community engagement and activate vibrant spaces and we want to reduce our reliance on cars. Our customers are often making the decision to buy their first adult bicycle. As such, we use an affirming, solution-oriented sales approach.
We are passionate about our community, about transportation, and about bicycles. Because our inventory spans decades, our mechanics are creative problem solvers who see an astonishing breadth of cycling technology and we bring this experience to bear on customer bikes in our complete service center.
This role will be customer-focused for the busy summer (sales and incidental repairs). Training will include our mission, shop processes, and sales. In the fall we shift to full-time wrenching as we build next year’s inventory.
The position is a direct report to the Store Manager and you will be working closely with them through your training period. Your job will be to create riders by answering questions (there are lots), guiding people through our sales floor, and inviting them to participate in the riding community (while maintaining an easy-going, judgment free environment). You will also be instrumental in keeping our sales floor stocked and looking professional and welcoming.
Join us for in-depth training and work that has an impact!
