Barrel Boy is a gentle giant from the mind of local artist, Joel Sisson. In a public place, Barrel Boy becomes a space activator and will serve as a walking ambassador for the Central Ave Art Walk.

We are currently raising funds to install Barrel Boy on the side of Recovery Bike Shop. As we work to transform Central Ave Barrel Boy will become the first official piece of the new Art Walk and act as a giant billboard to inspire curiosity, spark conversation, and create whimsey.

Barrel Boy reuses old rain barrels and can be made to walk, run, climb, or crawl. When lit from the inside, Barrel Boy can take on any color and even put on a show.
